Schyler Vargas has made a notable impact in the world of musical theatre, delivering acclaimed performances in a variety of roles. Highlights of his career include playing Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny in the Drama Desk winning Off-Broadway hit, Masquerade, as well as the Wolf and Cinderella's Prince in Into the Woods, Riff in West Side Story, Guido (Nine), and Sir Harry (Once Upon a Mattress). His versatility in both comedic and serious roles has earned him widespread praise.
Schyler has performed alongside some of the premiere crossover and theatre artists of our time, including Kelsey Grammer, Nathan Gunn, Christine Ebersole, and Santino Fontana. His performances as Connie and the Ragged Man in Ricky Ian Gordon’s The Grapes of Wrath, and Strephon in Gilbert & Sullivan's Iolanthe at Carnegie Hall stands out as significant milestones in his career.
Schyler has had the privilege of working with prolific directors and conductors such as Ted Sperling, Francesca Zambello, David Charles Abell, and James Lowe. His talent and dedication have also led him to be a finalist in both the Lotte Lenya Competition and the American Traditions Competition.
